International Property Listing: Lovely Stone House In French Countryside For Sale
While its easy to understand the appeal of tropical destinations including Sanya, there's nothing quite like the idyllic history and culture found in the French countryside as this charming medieval stone house set in the French countryside for sale shows us...Cheers, Mario Inquire Here
400 year old character house in the idyllic medieval village of Gabillou, in the middle of Perigord Noir, Dordogne. This pretty stone house offers much charm, originality and warmth for its 150sqm interior.
Its thick stone walls, exposed ceiling beams and many other original features take one back to the Middle Ages when the village was the centre of one of the largest lordships of the Perigord, owned by the Hautefort family: namely by the descendant of the well-known bard Bertrand de Born, a baron from the Limousin in France, and one of the major Occitan troubadours of the twelfth century.
