Tips On Medical Services In Sanya
It might not surprise you that Sanya, a rural island city of only half a million people, does not have the high standards of medical and education facilities we might wish for.
With that in mind, here is some good news for your medical needs.
1. Dr. Jack, located in the #1 TCM hospital,across the street from the downtown KFC. He's competent, professional and friendly, he's in the first office on the right on the first floor, the general receiving room for outpatients. If you need his number, contact us.
2. Along the main road out near the airport, the new hospital facility is almost completed.
3. One of our foreign friends locally here broke some ribs in an accident and was taken to the new wing of the military hospital on the military property out along Sanya Bay. I am told by those with him the facility was quite nice and he received very good care.

Sad to say but this hospital is really for the local people and for the poors. Do not expect to find hygienic standards!!. I went there 3 days for intra-venous injections and while waiting in the corridors I witnessed shocking and unbelievable situations. Kind of "experience" but if you can avoid it......
The wife of my coworker is a nurse at the people's hospital #1 and they have higher standards of medical facilities.
Hopefully Dr. Jack is still in town and fluent in english. Also we are wondering if there are dentists in Sanya??. Where is the new hospital facility along the main road out near the airport, I can not figure out well?.
